Beginnings

This blog is intended to capture the craziness that is my mother and I starting a business. My mom has always made crafts, and I have always helped her. It was something we enjoyed doing together. When she retired, as someone who could not sit still for more than five minutes decided that wanted to open a craft store. When we started talking about it we thought maybe in January we could rent a booth out of our local shop, the Shabby Shack. On a random Tuesday she decided to talk to the owner, just to see what was required of renting a booth. When I got home from work as a high school English teacher, she told me she had rented a booth and that we had two days to fill it. That is when the fury of putting together the booth began.

We started putting together fabric pumpkins.

And making earrings, something that I had intended to do in my off time because I like weird earrings.

After two crazy days of making things late into the night we got everything together for our booth on Thursday. Thursday evening we were able to put it together, and honestly, I am pretty proud of it.

Hopefully we sell some stuff this weekend. I will keep everyone posted...
